Turkey
Turkey, the meeting point of two continents, is a Eurasian country, bordered by eight countries: Bulgaria to the northwest; Greece to the west; Georgia to the northeast; Armenia, Azerbaijan (through its exclave of Nakhchivan) and Iran to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the southeast. To the south, Turkey has a long coastline at the Mediterranean Sea, the west gives it access to the Aegean Sea; and the Black Sea is to the north.Turkey has a very unique place in history being at the crossroads of commercial routes, where Asia and Europe meet; having been disputed at various times between the greatest of the empires of the antiquity; and, for centuries, having been a crossroads of religions - not only of Islam and Christianity, but many others now forgotten by history.
Its breathtaking natural beauties, unique historical and archaeological sites and a tradition of hospitality that is paralleled by few other countries in the world will surely captivate those who visit Turkey.
