If centuries ago the city was just a stop on the route between Central Europe and the Adriatic Sea, today it is a tourist destination in itself. No traveler has ever regretted visiting Zagreb, but not many know exactly what there is to see, do, taste in the Croatian capital. Examples? Countless. The two statues of Saint George, one in the Marshal Tito Square, the other in Kamenica Vrata, where the statue of the Virgin Mary was the only thing that survived the great fire of the 17th century. Or maybe the Nine Views art facility, which starts on Bogovićeva street, or around the funicular on Tomićeva Road. An urban network comprising churches, palaces, museums, galleries and government buildings, but also dense and populous commercial areas.
