Greece

The Hellenic Republic, Greece, needs little introduction, for its ancient history and its heritage have made it one of the most popular European destinations to date.
Situated in southeast Europe, Greece has land borders with Albania, the Republic of Macedonia and Bulgaria to the north, and Turkey to the east. It has the 11th longest coastline in the world and a large number of islands in the Aegean Sea, to the east of mainland Greece, the Ionian Sea to the west, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south.
The Greek islands with their azure skies and sparkling seas have been one of the top attractions for tourists from all over the world, however, the mixture of landscape, history, and culture has also put Greece on the destination map for all those who want to explore what is considered the 'cradle of Western civilization'. Greece is, after all, the birthplace of democracy, Western philosophy, the Olympic games, Western literature and historiography, political science and Western drama.
